Jillian Shea is an emerging visual artist in the bay area with a practice highlighting intimacy and the vastly different ways in which they experience it in their own life. With an emphasis on realism, she works with oil paint and other materials to render images exploring trauma, pain, love, and nostalgia. They are creating an archive of their life and relationships. Shea uses their art practice as a tool to deepen her relationship with herself and their love of paint.
Shea received her BFA in Drawing and Painting from California College of the Arts in 2021. She is currently working a job in the field and still making art! Hooray!
